Danville Memorial Par Global War on Terrorism Monument-Add Names Project

A committee is seeking submissions from veterans who served during Desert Shield/Storm August
2.1990-April 11.1991, Afghanistan War September 11.2001- August 30, 2021, Iraq War March 19.2003 - 12.18.2011.

All branches of service and Reserves are included, with the requirement that the veteran was a resident
of Montour County or attended Danville Area School District during the above-mentioned periods.

Send a copy of your DD-214 Military Discharge Papers and a brief description of your service period and residency eligibility. Please include your present contact information.

Family members may submit the names on behalf of deceased veterans. If you need assistance locating
the DD-214 please check if the veteran recorded his discharge papers at the County Recorder's Office or
apply online at:

Do not submit original documents as they will not be returned.

The committee will answer all written inquiries regarding the project.

Donations to fund the project are welcome and may be made payable to Robert K Vogt Post 298,
Veterans of Foreign Wars, designate in the memo line "GWOT Monument". Any funds remaining will be donated to the Danville Borough Memorial Park fund, for the upkeep of the park.
